On Tuesday, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant participated in a radio interview with 103.3 FM ESPN in Dallas. During that interview, Bryant was asked about his upcoming matchup against the Detroit Lions. And more specifically, what Lion’s All-World wideout Calvin Johnson could do that he couldn’t. Here’s how Dez responded:

Aug 29, 2013; Arlington, TX, USA; Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant (88) jokes around on the sideline during the game against the Houston Texans at AT

“Truth be told, I don’t compare myself to nobody. I think Calvin’s the best at what he [does]. I think I’m the best at what I do….I believe I can do whatever he can do. I think it’s just a pride thing. When it comes to football, just being on the field, it’s a mindset and having a mentality. I honestly believe when I’m there, I’ll be feeling like there’s nothing I can’t do. Whatever the coaches ask me to do, I’m going to do it….I always feel like there’s more. I think that’s just a mindset you’re supposed to have.”

The 6’5, 236 lb Johnson is a freak of nature. At his size, he can run a blazing 4.35 40-yard dash and has an incredible 43-inch vertical leap. Since being drafted by the Lions second overall in the 2007 NFL Draft, Megatron has arguably been the best wide receiver in football. And he is currently making his case to be considered one of the greatest ever to play the game.

Due to Bryant relatively young career, it’s really hard to compare the two. But here are my 10 ways Dez Bryant is already better than Calvin Johnson.

Look at the catch Calvin made against the 3 Bengals in the endzone…. Jumped over 3 guys! Come to think of it he did that to Dallas a couple years back. Dez can’t do that and 3 guys don’t follow Dez around the field. Sorry.

half of this had nothing to do with athletic ability, and comparing quarterbacks, Tony has been in the league for 10 while Stafford has been in the league for 4. How can you even compare that? How can you say Dez is better because he plays for the Cowboys? Pretty shitty article. Calvin is better. and is on pace to be the greatest receiver of all time.

1,5,7,8 I agree with but the other reasons are not valid or relevant points in this argument.
