On Tuesday, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant participated in a radio interview with 103.3 FM ESPN in Dallas. During that interview, Bryant was asked about his upcoming matchup against the Detroit Lions. And more specifically, what Lion’s All-World wideout Calvin Johnson could do that he couldn’t. Here’s how Dez responded:
“Truth be told, I don’t compare myself to nobody. I think Calvin’s the best at what he [does]. I think I’m the best at what I do….I believe I can do whatever he can do. I think it’s just a pride thing. When it comes to football, just being on the field, it’s a mindset and having a mentality. I honestly believe when I’m there, I’ll be feeling like there’s nothing I can’t do. Whatever the coaches ask me to do, I’m going to do it….I always feel like there’s more. I think that’s just a mindset you’re supposed to have.”
The 6’5, 236 lb Johnson is a freak of nature. At his size, he can run a blazing 4.35 40-yard dash and has an incredible 43-inch vertical leap. Since being drafted by the Lions second overall in the 2007 NFL Draft, Megatron has arguably been the best wide receiver in football. And he is currently making his case to be considered one of the greatest ever to play the game.
Due to Bryant relatively young career, it’s really hard to compare the two. But here are my 10 ways Dez Bryant is already better than Calvin Johnson.
