The Dallas Cowboys are the most popular NFL team in the league. Our team has a legion of fans no matter where they play. You can always find a sea of blue and silver amidst the various team colors regardless of the NFL location. And most die-hard fans would agree, we have the best fan base in the nation…except when it comes to our stadium presence.
Obviously, stadium design has something to do with this. Maybe the big video board distracts too much? Maybe it’s the artwork and go-go dancers? But overall, I think most would agree there seems to be a lack of passion and enthusiasm in AT&T Stadium on most game days. Especially when you compare them to the loud crowds at Seattle or Kansas City. Let’s just say other NFL teams are exactly shaking in their cleats to come into our house. And at least one Landry Hat reader believes that needs to change.
Therefore, I submit this open letter on the following page by die-hard Dallas fan Cindy Blackwell. She’s calling for a more positive outlook. She’s calling for fans to “step up”. And she’s calling for a 12th Man in Big “D”.
Cowboys tickets are still available for the Sunday evening matchup, so there’s no excuses for not making the stadium as loud as possible.
