NEEDS TO CONTINUE:
Sorry, but the Dallas Cowboys played a rough game all around. That is why the one positive area I thought deserved recognition was the kick game. Kicker Dan Bailey went 3-3 on field goal attempts, including a 51-yarder that at the time was a career long, then booted a new career long later in the game from 53. He also had 3 of his 5 kick offs go for touch backs (which was his knock coming out of college).
Punter Chris Jones also had a nice game. Dallas was backed up inside the 10 several times because of the incredible job Kansas City Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt did. But despite being backed up, Jones was able to do the best he could to help Dallas win the field possession battle by averaging 50 yards per punt on 4 punts with a long of 62. He could have had better hang time to give the coverage unit more time to get down field but given the circumstances, he did an excellent job.
Bailey is a key player for Dallas. There are about 20-25 teams who would love to have him as their kicker. Showing that he can knock down FGs from 50+ is big for a team that has shown struggles moving the ball. I would rather him kick 3 XPs against the St. Louis Rams but if needed, its nice to know he can deliver.
