Cowboys Preview by Review: Week 2

Each Friday, I will preview the upcoming week’s game, by reviewing the previous week’s game; hence a “preview by review”. Publishing every Friday will allow knee-jerk reactions/emotions to simmer and allow me to re-watch the game knowing the result, thus not having to deal with the heart-pounding excitement of the game or watching it through my fan goggles.

There will be two different categories: must continue and must improve. In each category, we will highlight (or lowlight) one area, one positional group, and one individual player. I will not write on who played the best every week or who played worse.

Thanks for the critique. What do you see that could improve? I always try to improve my craft

Your craft is fine and my critique was a lighthearted attempt at ribbing. Wasnt a dis on your skills by any means. I guess I just expected more excitement or passion from the “boys” writers. Im very excited about these teams meeting. Chiefs need a bigger challenge and a few friends here in kc are “boys” fans and very anxious to see how they fair in the SEA OF RED that will be 80thou strong and loud. It will be a good game.

Gotcha. I was hoping it was friendly banter but hard to tell tone from text. I try to tone down the “crazy fan” angle and give a more subjective analysis… Chiefs were my preseason worst to first pick that happens every year. Very excited to see it pan out especially since Reid knows the Cowboys so well

All good points. Need to establish a win streak. Not the same old win one lose one trend. OL needs to run block better. Both CBs need to play better. I felt Carr was soft in the 4th qtr. Boys need to stop run. Hopeful that Dunbar’s speed is a difference maker.
