The Dallas Cowboys hype-machine is at full tilt. With the regular season about to start this week, predictions abound throughout the various sports shows and sites. But there is really only one question every Cowboys fan should be concerned with. Will the Dallas Cowboys make the playoffs this year? Making the post-season would be an accomplishment for this team. It would save head coach Jason Garrett’s job, and partly, his reputation as a coach. And going deep into the playoffs would do wonders for quarterback Tony Romo’s legacy as well.
Winning solves a lot of the Cowboys current problems. Another losing season, even at 8-8, could literally destroy this team. Despite owner and general manager Jerry Jones’ promise to keep Garrett as his head coach regardless of the record at the end of the season, you have to think the negative press alone will have him second guessing himself. Losing means Romo will again have to answer all those questions about being paid like a top-tier quarterback while again not producing in the post-season. And the Cowboys team, as a whole, will continue to be labeled “next years’ champions”.
So here it is, Cowboys fans. The only question that really matters for the Dallas Cowboys in 2013: Will this team make the playoffs? Answer below.
