Tight Ends

Jason Witten

James Hanna

Gavin Escobar

Dante Rosario

Andre Smith

Analysis: The two players I considered on the roster-bubble at tight end were Rosario and Smith. But Rosario’s veteran experience and special teams play should earn him a spot on the final 53. Smith, who impressed early in camp, has since regressed. Again, there is simply too much talent above him on the depth chart.

Even with Ratliff off the roster (on PUP), there are 54 players.

Scratch that, I’m an idiot. There are 53.

I agree Cohen is just a “placeholder” until final cuts are made, but disagree on Bell. Let him go and let Armstrong be a vital Special Teamer and receiving option.

Sterling Moore stays. He earned the 5th corner spot. I think that McCray is out n they only keep 4 safeties.

Root in’ for Pellerin. Not sure why though.

I think we all knew the majority of the players making the roster. So it’s not a difficult task overall. No way they keep 11 OL. Matt Johnson should be cut. There is no room on the roster or PS for someone that is never available to play. I disagree that they need him. How could a team need a player that can’t even practice? Moore makes this team.

How can they keep Danny McCray? The guy has been exposed as a serious liability in the secondary, and safety is too thin a spot on this roster to keep a guy who gets routinely burned in coverage…
How do you cut Danny McCray? He’s one of the best core special teams players in the league, and the ‘Boys need all the studs they can muster for their woeful kicking game…
Love to be a fly on the wall in these roster meetings to hear Kiffin and Bisaccia go at it.
