Things Shaping Up For Dallas Cowboys

What I’ve seen has me just a little bit excited.

It was good to see the starters out on the field just to give that sense of real professional football. If what we saw is a sign of things to come then I’m definitely going to stay tuned.

Demarcus Ware and Sean Lee definitely look the part of team leaders. Ware flew into the backfield to make a tackle early on, while I’m sure nobody needs a refresher of the impact Sean Lee had.

On the offensive side of the ball I have to tell you I got chills.

The tempo of the offense is definitely one of the more obvious changes from last year’s team, and it seems as though it is going to benefit everybody greatly.

Demarco Murray ran strong, Miles Austin came up with some key grabs, and Dez Bryant looks like he’s ready to take the mantle as the next great 88.

Of all the plays that impressed me, one stood out above all the rest. At one point Bryant was running a slant toward the center of the field and it looked as if that’s where Romo was going. The cornerback jumped the route and it seemed as if the play would end in a sure interception, but the two offensive stars had other plans. Romo pump faked and Bryant turned it up field into a soft spot where Romo made the easy pass.

Doesn’t seem like much, but little things like that prove that not only are the little mistakes being worked on, but it also shows that Romo and Bryant have formed a connection and chemistry that is hard to come by.

If both continue to perform at a high level then there are definitely going to be some records in jeopardy, not to mention the effect it will have on the Cowboys season.

Too early to tell at this point, but things are looking good.
