Dallas Cowboys fans don’t often agree on many things. But they do all agree that 2013 will be the year of Dez Bryant. The Cowboys wide receiver is on the brink of NFL super-stardom. And with record-breaking goals on his mind, the pride of Lufkin, Texas is preparing for the public onslaught ahead with a brand new official website: dezbryant.com
The new site features some great content on Bryant including: a biography, pictures, videos, his blog and much, much more. As an active participant on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, Dez is constantly updating his fans with fun pics and insights into his life. And his new site is a great hub for all of his social media.
And this year should be a very busy one for both Bryant and his new site. Especially if Dez starts breaking records. In an article by Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com, Bryant explained why he thought this season could be a special one for him:
“I still have a lot to give. I feel like nobody’s seen anything. Nothing…I feel like it can be a lot more than that. That’s just being honest. I honestly feel like (2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns) can potentially happen.”
If Bryant can play at a high level the entire season, these goals would be well within his reach. Last season, Dez ended the year recording 92 receptions for 1382 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was targeted by quarterback Tony Romo 138 times. And those numbers should go up this season.
Dallas Cowboys fans are not alone in thinking Bryant could have a record-setting year. Fantasy football fanatics are already drafting the former Oklahoma State Cowboy within the first two rounds in a majority of their fantasy drafts this month. Some are even drafting him before Detroit Lions‘ wideout Calvin Johnson.
Despite the league-wide belief in Bryant’s abilities, it’s Dez’ own mindset that is most important:
“I’m so confident. I view myself as an up-and-coming leader. That’s how I view myself. With that attitude, you have to feel like anything’s possible. That’s how I feel.”
And as fans, we should all have a similar feeling everytime Bryant catches the ball. I know I do. When it’s in Dez’s hands, you know something great can happen at any moment.
