Defensive end George Selvie – During last weekends’ three tackle, two sack performance the term Lawrence Taylor-like was floating around the media press box in regards to Selvie’s play.  Although he was going up against second and third team players, the journey-man defensive end has seemed to have finally found a scheme that takes advantage of his skill set. What was even more impressive about his performance was that Selvie had only been on the team for a week and a half at the time. But was last weekend performance simply a fluke? According to reporters at training camp this week, guard Doug Free has been manhandling Selvie on the first team in practice. He was actually bumped back down to second team on Thursday. Tonight’s game will give Selvie the opportunity to prove himself, once again.
