Not only NO!…..But Hell to the NO!

He’s a good player but he never takes over a game like an Alan Page did…like a Dick Butkus did…like a Lawrence Taylor did. Lee Roy Jordan, Chuck Howley, Randy White, Bob Lilly, Harvey Martin and Ed ‘Too Tall’ Jones were far BETTER than DeMarcus Ware. SMH…This was a rather SILLY question.

I agree, those who voted yes most likely never saw Bob Lilly, Harvey Martin or Ed “Too Tall Jones” play.

I can’t give him the nod over Bob Lilly or Randy “The Manster” White. Those two in my opion are #1 and #2 or 1a and 1b if you prefer. Just wondering how much better he’d be playing with the 70′s Dooms Day Defenses. He might be #1 playing with a supporting cast like those guys and Landy in charge. Ware is one of the best I’ve seen for sure; however, he’s been hampered by inferior coaching and lack of consistent playmakers around him over his career. I’d like to see him get a ring before it’s over. He’s a class act for sure no matter where you rank him.

  • utgjohn

Nope. He is 1-6 in win or go home games.

    That’s how this works, right?

  • Tarball

Ware is good, not great! GREAT is reserved for “Too Tall”, Randy White, LeeRoy Jordan, Bob Lilly, and DBs Mel Renfro, Herb Adderley. Ware is primarily a product of the media . . . . .

  • Lynn Flowers

Ware is great, but he hasn’t proven yet to be superior to Bob Lilly, LeeRoy Jordan, Randy White, Cliff Harris, Charlie Waters, et al.
