WEEK 2 – Dallas Cowboys @ Kansas City Chiefs

Prediction: WIN (2-0). Despite their 2-14 record last season, playing the Chiefs at home is always a tough game. Arrowhead Stadium is one of the loudest places to play in the league. Throw in the fact that they added former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid to the mix this off-season, and you have a recipe for an upset.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith was acquired for a second round pick in the off-season and the Chiefs added offensive tackle Eric Fisher in the draft to protect him. They also signed former Cowboy linebacker Orie Lemon. Still, the Chiefs have a lot of unanswered questions and a steep learning curve to overcome. Dallas should take this one.

On paper, the Boys should beat Chiefs, Rams and Chargers. But games aren’t played on paper. As you pointed out, the Boys are usually their own biggest problem.
Boys usually come fired up and prepared for the first game. This year Gmen will be ready for them. Eli always plays great in TX. After the first game, JG usually doesn’t have the Boys ready for any game.
Don’t worry so much about the new D scheme. It’s a lot simplier then Ryan’s D. I believe our players are better suited to a 4-3 anyway. Better to have Ware and Spencer playing their natural positions and rushing the passer every down.
