    I don’t think he was questioning Romo’s commitment. He was trying to deflect the attention and justify the size of the contract.

      I agree. If Jones was really questioning Romo’s commitment then why did he wait this long? Giving him a big contract should not have mattered. Of course Jones does do things backwards so who knows what he was really thinking?
