I hope Dallas can draft the Alabama QB McCarron next year. He is the real deal!

    • Truth

Anyone, as should be accepted by now, should know that Romo is not a Decent QB for any team, let alone our Team, the Dallas Cowboys!!!

College QBs are really tricky to pick. Most of them are a product of their football system. It’s way to early to know where Manziel will be in 2 – 3 years. Tony isn’t going anywhere for the next several years.

    • Truth

I also believe Tony isn’t going anywhere. But I might differ as to why at the same time.
Not because Tony has earned his stay here or proven that he is in fact a stout QB worth keeping.
But rather because the GM here is a baffoon and knows nothing about talented players let alone talented QBs. Alan Ball, Marion Barber, Colombo, Doug Free…this should tell you why certain players are still here or thought as, by Jerry, to be elite players, ha!

I agree that JJ is an idiot. He is the biggest problem. JG is the 2nd biggest problem. JJ and his ego are killing this team. His inability to evaluate talent, manage the cap, extend and ridiculously over pay marginal players… He may be rich, but that doesn’t make him smart. He has been a failure as the GM of the Cowboys.

I agree that JJ has picked some bad players, but he also has picked Ware, Witten, Claiborne, etc. The problem isn’t that JJ picks average players, but that he ties up so much money on them. That’s his failing. Instead of paying players BECAUSE they are elite, he pays them thinking it will MAKE them elite.

So many football fans remind me of 14 year old girls who read Twilight. Like a 14 yo girl who falls in love with a dreamy young vampire who can do so many unrealistic things, some fans fall in love with a player who ignites the college world for one or two years. It rarely seems to translate to the NFL. From memory it seems that somewhere around half of all Heisman winners succeed in the NFL to any degree. So many players who look so great against amateur talent can’t continue that success.

14 yo girls rarely look for substantive values in a guy. Just as so many football fans hardly look objectively at a college players abilities. The stars belong on the helmets, not in your eyes.

Wow, what kind of mind do you need to have to make such condescending remarks and worse, be so wrong.

I mean you act as if you haven’t been following NFL football for hundreds of yrs(okay, a little exaggeration). Have you not witnessed RG3, Luck, Kapernick(sp), Wilson Russel, etc, etc…???
