Dallas Cowboys Potential Draft Targets at the Senior Bowl

Another player the Cowboys spent some time interviewing was USC Trojans Safety TJ McDonald. Coming into 2012 he was seen as the best Safety in the country. That honor may now belong to LSU Tiger Eric Reid, but Reid isn’t at the Senior Bowl, and McDonald played for Monte Kiffin who mentioned his respect for the young man. Keep an eye on that name. His dad. Tim, was a hell of a player in his day.

Another Defensive End to watch on the North Squad is Texas Longhorns Alex Okafor. I’ve seen his name on a couple of mock drafts for the Cowboys pick at 18 already. Staying on the Defensive Line I very much like North Carolina Tarheels Defensive Tackle Sylvester Williams. I wish Alabama’s Jesse Williams, possessor of a monster 600 pound bench press, was playing, but he elected not to play.

One last name I want to mention to watch for the North is Oregon Ducks Running Back Kenjon Barner. When you talk about pet cats I have a thing for Running Backs from the Oregon programs. I wanted Oregon State Badger Stephen Jackson so bad in 2004 that I don’t think I have yet repented enough from the tirade I threw when he was there and we traded away the pick. In the last two Drafts I have been very high on the San Francisco 49ers LaMichael James and the Atlanta Falcons Jacquizz Rodgers. The two Oregon schools can give you some solid contributors at Running Back.
