  • I agree

Safety is a big need I agree & Womack,Fisher & Richardson are off the board!(Kwann,Lance,Elam,Vacarro)Reid is pretty good.

  • Center Needed

Take Barret Jones…. We Need a CENTER !!!!!

He won’t be the highest graded player at #18 for the Cowboys, I guarantee that.

      • ctcowboy1968

Who cares? We NEED this guy. He is a 1st round talent with position flexibility from an excellent program and winning heritage. The Boys draft grading system leaves a lot to be desired.

He may be a NEED but you don’t draft on needs. You draft on talent and value. He also has injury issues. A DL or higher grade offensive lineman makes more sense.

Ryan Cook is a better Center than Bernadeau is a Guard, so even with needs in mind… Guard is a bigger one.

          • ctcowboy1968

Agree that Bernadeau was another JJ mistake and needs to go. Barrett Jones plays both C & G. OL is the priority and any Bama OL is a vast improvement to our OL.
Drafting is a balance between talent and need.

Take a look at OG Larry Warford from Kentucky, he could easily fall to us in the second round. His draft stock has shot up at the Senior Bowl practices. I honestly think he is a better value in the 2nd than Jones is in the first.

Another good one to watch is OG Ricky Wagner from Wisconsin. He could end up falling to us in the third round and many scouts think he is a second round talent.

          • ctcowboy1968

Now we’re talking. I have heard of Warford and watched some tape of him at the senior bowl practices. Wisconsin is a OL factory. I am all for it.

Cmon man if youre going to do a mock draft at least know what guys are going to be in the draft especially if youre putting them in the first round! Lewan and Matthews both said a few weeks ago they were staying in college…

    • Steven

Thanks for pointing this out. The three different big boards I referenced all made this mistake. I’ve corrected the issues.

  • dietz

Going to be tough for Geno Smith to go number one overall by skipping the Senior Bowl… Most of the GM’s, Coaches and Analysts are upset with that decision and he will have to be super impressive in both the combine and the individual workouts

  • ctcowboy1968

The 1st round pick MUST be an OL. Barrett Jones!!! Starter day 1.

If the draft fell this way, I would want Hankins.
