So there’s the first part of your off season information. Part two involves the NFL Draft. Day 1 is April 25, 2013. As of this printing that is 115 days away. Dallas and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the only two teams who ended up at 8-8. The Steelers had an easier season schedule, this means they will pick before Dallas in the odd numbered Draft rounds, and Dallas will pick ahead of the Steelers in the even numbered Draft rounds. The Compensatory Draft picks will be awarded in April, but for right now the Dallas Cowboys draft pick positions are 18, 49, 82, 113, 146, 177, and 210. The 4th through 7th round will be adjusted for Compensatory picks once awarded. There also could be adjustments due to NFL sanctions or Supplemental Draft picks, but for right now, these are our picks.

The Draft is my Christmas in April. Santa, can I have some O-line?

May your 2013 be one of anticipation and wonder.

Hmmm. Aikman had Michael Irvin to throw to, Emmitt to hand off to, an offensive
line that didn’t suck and block like turnstiles, a Daryl Johnston to block for
Emmitt, a defense that consisted of more than ONE badly banged up All Pro. Romo
has Ogletree who can’t run routes, a Demarco Murray who can’t stay healthy, a
Dez Bryant who can’t stay healthy, a defense that can’t stay healthy. Hmm, maybe
the Cowboys need to fire their strength and conditioning coach, fire Doug Free,
fire Ogletree, and either fire their GM or at least lock him in a closet for the
duration of the 2013 NFL draft so he doesn’t eff the draft up again.

    1. HIRE NORV. Dallas man through & through turned Troy Aikman around. Norv also made ALEX Smith look good for Cruyff’s sake!!! 2. Hire either Romeo Crennel OR Lovie Smith as Defensive Co-Ordinator and be done with DOPEY ROB R. Crennel is a good tough highly experienced defensive coach and Smith always delivers a takeaway defence, something this team lacks badly. WHAT IS THE POINT OF ALL THE INVESTMENT IN CBs CLAIBORNE & CARR IF TAKEAWAYS ARE MINIMAL??? Sure Crennel struggled at The Chiefs but he had NO QB. 3. Get rid of gutless Felix Jones – a real whimp – and draft a power running back. 4. First Rd Pick = Offensive Tackle to bookend with young Smith. 5. Release Free, Ogletree & Spears.
