Say Goodbye To Sean Payton, Cowboy Fans!

Dallas Cowboy fans across the world let out a big sigh tonight. New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton has agreed in-principle to a five year extension with the Saints on Friday. Payton, who is spending this season on suspension due to the Bounty Gate scandal, was expected to be a free agent at the end of the year. And Cowboy fans were hoping Dallas would be his next stop.

The NFL voided Payton’s previous contract extension with the Saints due to some problems they had with the exact wording of said contract. And with the Cowboys continuing to struggle under head coach Jason Garrett, fans and national media alike were speculating on the Super Bowl winning coach’s future.

But Garrett’s recent actions concerning defensive tackle Josh Brent’s manslaughter incident, in which Jerry Brown Jr. was killed, was very impressive. Maybe more impressive has been that the Cowboys have won the last three out of their four games.

So, it appears Cowboy fans are now stuck with Garrett. Let’s only hope his on-the-job training has paid off with a playoff appearance this season. If not, expect to hear names like Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher circling Valley Ranch.

Bad move by Payton. St George are going nowhere ever again. Brees is small and like Romo is a turnover waiting to happen. Their defence is terrible in most games. Bad move also to keep Garrett. With Garrett Dallas is the next San Diego or Philadelphia, and will be 5-11 next season. Garrett cannot motivate or stir players up. Home games will again be a disaster and they will lose most of them meaning that playoffs are simply trash talk. I recall Troy Aikman stating that if fans praise PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL players for “not quitting” then something is drastically wrong. The aim is to WIN something, not “play hard”. Garrett is similar to Norv Turner: a mediocre Head Coach and very predictable in his play calling. If Garrett lets Chicken Head Griffin smash him up in this game how on earth can GM Jones keep him???

That sucks, no Sean Payton in Dallas.

Yes ! now keep this bum off our fan site but any way OLB/DE Kaseem Greene of Rutgers is a Beast!

That’s very unfortunate for the Cowboys. Payton highly successful, no nonsense, no mercy HC / OC. Just what the Cowboys need. JJ hired JG to be a junior Payton clone. JG will never be a winner. He is not intelligent enough to learn from his mistakes. This team wins inspite of JJ and JG.
Forget Cowher and Gruden. Even if they were willing to work with JJ, which they won’t, they are DC’s and then Ryan would have to go too.

Sean Payton knows Jerry Jones and does not want to work for this idiot again! We are fortunate to have JG who tolerates him to the extent he can’t get a similar postion elsewhere.

Garrett is the next Norv Turner. He and Romo will become the equivalent of Turner-Rivers. Good luck to those foolish enough to keep supporting these LOSER who have now failed THREE TIMES IN KEY END OF SEASON GAMES.
