Tomorrow, Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys will square off against Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins. Playoff hopes hang in the balance for both teams, but the chances the Redskins make the playoffs is like living on a prayer. If the Cowboys defeat the Redskins, and the New York Giants suffer a (likely) loss to the Green Bay Packers, then the Dallas Cowboys will be in the driver’s seat for the NFC East with a soft, home-filled schedule.
Here’s your words for success.
Tony Romo – You sue do love Thanksgiving. Maybe it’s the uniform, maybe it’s playing on Thursday. Whatever it is, please continue. Eat your Wheaties Thursday morning, because you are going to need them. Your offensive line is playing horrible and you will be running for your life. The good news is that Washington’s pass defense is worse than your offensive line, and you will reward your fantasy owners handsomely.
Dan Bailey – What a way to redeem yourself from the game winning miss at Baltimore. You hit a game tying field goal, and then follow that up in OT with a game winning one. Sadly Pro Bowl voting isn’t based off of clutch kicks, but based off of sheer numbers. Lawrence Tynes might edge you out, but you are Dan “The Man” Bailey, and you have ice water in your veins. The Redskins always manage to play the Cowboys close – so your right leg might be needed for another clutch kick.
Bruce Carter – Sean who? Oh yeah, one of the biggest rising star linebackers in the NFL is out for the year, and you, Bruce, are playing so well that most of us have long forgotten. You have a big challenge this week, and that is containing RGIII. Do us a favor – hit him in the mouth. Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the mouth. Make him fear the Cowboys linebackers. Make him fear straying from the pocket. Hit him in the mouth.
The Landry Hat Fans – Thanks for all of your loyal support and comments. We could not have done it without you. Please enjoy a safe, food-filled Thanksgiving and enjoy watching our Cowboys play tomorrow afternoon. God bless.
