The Dallas Cowboys looked like the team that we have expected to play at the beginning of the season minus the running game that hasn’t developed. This week the Cowboys face off against the Cleveland Browns. The game is expected to be a good game in which we should win…but wait! This team hasn’t won back to back games all season long. If the pattern continues, then Dallas shouldn’t win this game. As much as they have to opportunity, they have the real chance of not winning this game. They have shown in the past that games that are against good teams, the Cowboys play hard and then the games they should win…well they don’t take them very serious and usually end up losing those “easy games.”
The Cowboys’ fan base has been up and down all season long. Much of the season has been down as the Cowboys continue to show that they are just a mediocre team. The
fans deserve some back to back wins to start winning back the faith everyone had at the beginning. Some of us even predicted a Super Bowl victory. To review this team’s season, the Cowboys shocked the world by winning against the defending Super Bowl champion, New York Giants.
The Cowboys went to Seattle and committed themselves to playing only three quarters of the game as they didn’t show up the first quarter. They traveled to Tampa Bay and won against the Buccaneers, only to play against the Chicago Bears and lost. A week later, Dallas lost to the Baltimore Ravens. Dallas won in an ugly game against the Carolina Panthers then lost the next to Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants.
Last week they against the Philadelphia Eagles in a game that saw Michael Vick go down and out of the game.
So as you can tell, there has been a couple of losing streaks but no winning streak to speak of. I am going to go out on a limb and predict that Dallas will win the game against a pretty miserable Cleveland Browns.
Cleveland has one true weapon in rookie RB Trent Richardson, but he is averaging less than 100 yards a game and the offense as whole, has been pretty inept. As a unit, they rank 18th in passing and 27th in rushing. Defensively, the Browns rank 22nd and 27th respectively in rushing and passing.
Who knows what is going to really happen, as much it is to speculate it is even more fun to see it all work as predicted. I predict that QB Tony Romo will have a good passing day as long he remembers to throw to the white jerseys. The defense should tee off on Trent Richardson and QB Brandon Weeden. The running game for the Cowboys should have a good showing as they should win this game, 30-10.
