Jason Garrett Sinking Dallas Cowboys Ship

Count another one for the opposing team. It’s getting harder and harder to say that every week yet it shouldn’t be because we’ve said it so many times already. The only thing that can be said is that this team is failing miserably. More importantly Jason Garrett is failing the Dallas Cowboys.

Jason Garrett has had his time and it’s almost up. He has yet to prove anything as a coach and who knows he may have lost his chance.

Normally I’m not one to pile on to the “fire the coach” bandwagon, but at this point I think it’s our only plausible option.

Garrett’s lack of ability to coach a complete game is just unacceptable. Just look at the numbers. In every game this season the Cowboys have been in the game with the ability to win. Arguments can be made about the Bears game but the Cowboys were in it even in the third quarter until the wheels completely came off.

The argument I’m trying to make is that the Cowboys always play to the level of their opponent no matter how good or how bad. It can be argued that the Cowboys have been considerably better than some teams and considerably worse than other teams and yet still play competitively in every game.

Some will say this is a good thing especially against the better teams like the Falcons. It’s absolutely unacceptable against the struggling teams. Dallas has no blowout victories. They struggle to put up double digits every game. Too much of this is originating from the coach.

Nobody can tell me they didn’t notice Tony Romo screaming at Jason Garrett after Felix Jones was stuffed yet again.

Garrett’s lack of time management skills and awareness and also his lack of play calling ability is driving this ship directly into the ground.

I don’t claim to think I could do better but if losing is acceptable then hey ill take a crack at it for the millions Jason Garrett does it for.

The cowboys could easily have their record reversed if it weren’t for poor clock management and play calling late in games. Love or hate the Cowboys even if you think they would lose I don’t think many people could argue that the offense is extremely underperforming and even in a loss should easily be able to put upwards of twenty points on the scoreboard.

Leaky offensive line? Well continue experimenting with the no huddle offense and take some pressure off those guys and put it on the ones rushing. I don’t think sham wow would help is here. The thing is there are solutions; Garrett just seems to have no plan b ever.

Well the season looks like it may be over before expected and who knows how much longer it will be before the U.S.S. Garrett goes completely under. I think Garrett has the tools and ability to right the ship, but unfortunately for him he has left himself with pretty much no margin for error.

Jimmy Johnson may have said it best, Jason Garrett may be auditioning for his own job in the weeks to come. Maybe that’ll tell us all we need to know.

Damage control will cannot keep the ship afloat it will sink along with the Captain Mr. Jerry Jones …

Sorry, I disagree. Once again everyone wants to blame the coach for poor play. Players need to deliver, I have yet to see Jason throw an interception, fumble or get flagged for a penalty that turns out to be critical. Romo is no leader like Staubach or Aikman and that is where the problems begin. The Dallas defense is strong; the offense is lacking.

The stats and play calling show this team is using less misdirection, less counter plays, less traps, pulls or any effort to trick the defense in the running game. The Redzone numbers are comparable to the Jacksonville PracticeCats or other Church league teams. If you have a poor offensive line matchup, then chip block…bring the end over to trap, use our hapless fullback.

This Eagles team is in total meltdown with no offensive structure, a house of cards. If JG cannot put a competitive effort into this game and win by the 3rd quarter, he should resign.
