Okay, I voted for the sake of participation but, people keep asking questions like this for nothing. Maybe to stir up hits to the site, get a little public participation. I don’t know if you are in Jerry Jones’ pocket or not but, where is the article targeting the real problem (as any true Dallas Cowboys follower knows the coaching situation). For the heck of it, I’ll state it: Jerry Jones’ ego cannot support a true Head Coach and everyone knows it, so why ask the question (I guess to insult us)? After not measuring up to the Tuna and Jimmy Johnson, do you ever think, as long as a Jones has breath in their puffed up airheaded bodies, there will be anything but, a spineless noodle on the Dallas Cowboys sideline faking like he/she is the coach?! FOH!

There some nice player on that list. All I know is JG is not the answer, and JJ shouldnt be this team GM I wouldnt wait to the end of the season, I would make the change right now. I beleive in the short run at this moment John Gruden would be the best Head coach only because he already played with a meddling GM in Al Davis. Who else know more about the QB than John who hold these NFL camps for NFL talent QB. He just may be the one who can fine tune Tony Romo into being that player the boys have been waiting on to develope who can take us to the next level.

Bill Cowher is the best HC on that list he get my vote. he bring a mental and phyical toughness the boys have been lacking. He a defensive coach

I was excited for the change from Wade Philips to JG, but now that it has been 2 full seasons and half of one(written asuming JG finishes this year). Nothing has changed, and still the same undisciplined, lack of mental toughness and play execution. Why in the world is receivers running long routes when there was 26 seconds left with one timeout? They all should be running shorter routes to save time. This is not the first time JG blew a clock management situation, and this guy was a former QB and a princeton grad? Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Jason Garett is not the answer, this team has far too much physical talent that is being wasted because of constant mental breakdowns, dumb penalties, turnovers, lack of takeways on defense. The head coach failed to get this team ready to play Seattle, and countless others in the past. INjuries are not an excuse.

Enough with the coaching merry-go-round. Unless the Cowboys finish 3 -13, let Garrett have the job for at least this season and next.

  • Daniel G

Jimmy Johnson, but we know the real issue is Jerry jones. One question people forgot how he destroyed the team in the 90′s

  • mangoshakes

I’d rather have a new QB than put ANOTHER new HC out there.

  • Hawk_Eye

    MIKE HOLMGREN

WE ABSOLUTELY, UNEQUIVOCALLY, NEED A DISCIPLINARIAN AS OUR NEXT HEAD COACH.

  • Malik

The issue here with the Boys is simply, TR. its not that he does not have the physical talent to be a good QB, he does not appear to have the mental talent to be a great QB. He has had more than his fair share of opportunities. While I will not lay all the blame at his feet, but being QB of the Boys is a tall order. We expect/demand better! We all know JJ/SJ aren’t going any where, so the hope that an ex-QB/Princeton guy can’t coach TR up better than he has is disappointing. Maybe, now that JJ has seen that “yes-men” coaches haven’t changed this disappointing situation, maybe he can lure Cowher back to the sideline.

it does not matter who the next coach will be cause as long as Jerry Jones is in charge and the owner they will never ever win anything again.

  • drock

i get so tired of seeing him and hearing him run his mouth about their still a contending team, yeah right what cowboys team has he been watching, garrett needs to be gone and so does Tony Romo, and Jerry you can join them outta here

If…we were to switch (Not writing JG’s obit, just yet.) Gruden is the guy. Cower is the best “disciplinarian”…but I can’t help but think that Gru would be the better fit. After all, he is the only man on this list that has had (Super Bowl, Playoff) success with an aging gunslinger at QB. He did it with Gannon in Oakland…and Johnson in TB. If somehow you could get Ryan to stay on…he’d be the man.

On top of that…they wouldn’t even have to change the monogram on the head coaches letterhead. : )

I have been a Cowboys fan since birth and will leave this world as one. The Cowboys have many areas to fix and top on the list has to be the Owner/GM situation. Jerry is a smart guy and knows how to market the team and its gear. He is a business man not a not a GM or Coach. We need Jerry to concentrate on Marketing and leave the Football Operation in more knowledge hands. Once that happens then we look at why the Cowboys are not a disciplined team or prepared to play at game time. How many times have we seen Tony try to coach on the field and position players before the snap? What is practice for???

Felix is good but he can’t break a tackle to save his life. Dez needs to grow up
and be the beast he can be. Play calling needs to be more creative…and I can
    go on.

On the plus side… Defense is much improved!
