In The 5th Week They Rested

The Dallas Cowboys are getting off the bye week that couldn’t have came at a better time. Following the embarrassing lose at home to the Chicago Bears, a 2 week rest and preparation was badly needed.

The Dallas Cowboys face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in hostel environment against the legendary Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. This is the time that the team needs to go big or go home. A win against the Ravens could send a big message to all other teams on the schedule, especially teams in  the NFC East. At a time when all teams in the Cowboys division has 2 losses or more, a division title is still very much in grasp. I can guarantee that the Redskins, Eagles, and Giants will not be over looking them at all. I am certain that the Falcons, Steelers, Panthers, etc. will not take them lightly.

The truth is that the Dallas Cowboys have a very talented team and are capable to match up well with any team in the league. The only question is if they feel the confidence and have the discipline to control this emotional roller coaster they have been riding for the first few weeks of the season. The defense has been very promising and if the offense can display the quality of play from last year than this team can be a nightmare for all head coaches in the NFL. Everyone knows that Romo having a 5 interception game is not normal and it is not likely to happen again, at least not this season.

Fans are getting frustrated and losing faith in the team. A strong run over the next few games will have fans all over the country excited about the rest of the season and playoff hopes. The Dallas Cowboys need start playing like every game is a playoff game and just maybe the could get turn this decade into one of dominance as they were in the 70’s and 90’s.
