The future for Cowboys Life Car Club is exactly in its present.
“Win or lose, we still rep our Cowboys. It’s not about winning or losing. It’s about having fun,” Ortiz states.
“The whole idea for the actual car club is to be involved in the actual community,” President Jose says. “We are involved in a lot of charities in Dallas and a lot of the celebrations and parades around Dallas.”
President Jose knows they’re viewed as fans, but hopes someday to impress actual representatives of the Dallas Cowboys. Again, the motive is not for profit, but for the enjoyment of their team.
“That would be a dream for us,” “Cowboy” says in talking about a Cowboys Life halftime show at Cowboys Stadium. He fully realizes the corporate sponsorship complications given their various makes and Ford being the official vehicle of the Dallas Cowboys.
Another dream Raymond “Cowboy” Ortiz has is to be involved in the Super Bowl parade should the Cowboys ever win another Super Bowl. Like Eugene O’Neill noted, the dreams that can’t be completely realized are the ones worth dreaming. A Cowboys Super Bowl win would be a dream come true for all Cowboys fans, and it would be a more vibrant dream to see diehards like Cowboys Life Car Club showered in navy and silver confetti leading the parade.
