The Bosco Albert “B.A.” Baracus Award is given to the player who overpowered his competition. This player’s brute strength, force and “bad attitude” made players and fans alike stand up and take notice.

And the winner  is…cornerback Mike Jenkins. In his first game back from off-season shoulder surgery, Jenkins put on a show (with a little swagger mixed in). Once thought to be great trade bait, Jenkins has become an important part of our decimated defensive backfield. Tampa Bay tested Jenkins throughout the game, and he passed with flying colors. His solid play allowed free agent corner Brandon Carr to fill-in at safety for the injured Gerald Sensabaugh. It seems we may be seeing Jenkins’ potential finally coming into reality. Owner/GM Jerry Jones is right about one thing: There IS a place for you here, Mr. Jenkins.

Find out who wins the final award, on the next  page…

I think there should have been an award for Romo. The toughness he showed in the face of adversity to still manage to put up (283 yards 64.8 comp%) after taking 4 sacks, 1 of which a head shot that would have sidelined most QB’s for the remainder of the game, multiple hits, and no running game to speak of. No matter how bad the protection is (worst I have ever seen in Cowboys history this year) he still manages to make plays. You can say what you want about Dez, but Tony has to avoid the constant pressure in his face to get Dez the ball. He is dealing with Receivers quitting on plays, running wrong routes, multiple dropped passes, and an ungodly amount of drive killing penalties, but he puts his head down and continues to plow forward. Give this man a decent OL and he will be the league MVP.
