I believe Jason garrett play calling is wrong base on the personnel he has. Who should know more about his personnel than the HC who selected them. It is always my beilef that JG run to deep of a pattern putting Romo in more harms way, this can be counter with a greater commitment to a running game. This all goes back to having the wrong personnel on the offensive line. Who selected them, yup JG did.
So what should JG be running with this offense. JG need to run the plays that get the ball out of Romo hands as soon as possible, the bubble screens, the slants, the swing passes, the hand off to WR in motion, the pitch, The TE curls. A player like Cole Beasley should become a bigger part of this offense with the 8-9 yards passes. JG need to rollout Romo outside of the pocket in order to gain time on deeper patterns. Tony should never to force to throw on these deep pattterns, he has options to throw it away..
The running on the edges is about the only running we can do with this team, since we are weak at the point of the attack. The big plays that have work the best this year have all been broken play, cause by Romo working outside the pocket and running by Murray on the weak side of runs. The short yard play calling has not work in years, and then compound the fact that boys run it with no line spacing between OL, gives the RB no running lanes to go through. You would of figure that JG would of fugure this out years ago.
This OL limit the boys at what they can do best. When we go outside the norm you put Tony romo in greater danger and put the boys in highter risk of the play not working at all.
