Bill Callahan: Excellent job coaching the O-line. My offensive line coach back in high school referred to poor performances (like the one we saw against Oakland) as hammered cat sh*t. It looked pitiful, and the description matches. I am not one to blame Doug Free for causing the big hit on Witten, everyone was trying to make a play, including Witten, because they are all competitors. I saw much improvement on Saturday, with the O-line mauling San Diego’s front line and giving Romo plenty of time to throw. My hat is off to you, and I would like to see continued improvement, which I know will happen.
DeMarco Murray: Man on Fire. Literally. I am glad that Jason Garrett pulled you out of the lineup after about 7 snaps. No need to run the risk of you getting injured in a meaningless preseason game. You are a workhorse and I feel that with the possibly injuries to our top three pass catchers, the Cowboys offense will be leaning on you more than ever. Stay healthy, and keep running that rock.
Brandon Carr: $50.1 million man. You are showing us why you are worth it. The bait and catch you pulled on Phillip Rivers and Robert Meachem was athletic coverage excellence, and I hope we see more of that to come. This secondary has not had a play maker that can pull that off, along with the quadruple tip drill in quite some time.
Mo Claiborne: We were all excited to get to see you in action. Although it wasn’t exciting, you didn’t disappoint. I didn’t see you get burned all over the field, and I didn’t see any gnome fullbacks hurdling you, so good job so far. Keep up the hard work, and show us why you were the top defensive pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Dan “The Man” Bailey: Little words need to be said on our appreciation for a consistent kicker, so keep it up. Even with the upgraded defense I feel that you will still be called upon to knock a couple of game winning kicks through. When your name gets called, my nerves won’t be on edge; that ball will sail right through.
