Cowboys-Raiders Recap and Impressions

1st Team Defense

1. The trenches will give you reason to worry about the run. Darren McFadden and Lonyae Miller were getting good yardage on our defensive line.

2. Conversely, the pass rush seems better. Kenyon Coleman was able to push the pocket and force Carson Palmer into lofting up a duck. Our corners must be buying that fabled time our pass rush needs to be effective.

2. You could immediately see the teachings of Jerome Henderson manifest. When Palmer rushed his throw, I was fully expecting our guys to lose sight of the ball. Scandrick was playing the receiver and not tracking the ball. But Sensabaugh tracked the ball nicely in the air to make the pick.

The Ol for the Cowboys look awful and slow. The WR dont have time to seperate, we have no running game. Beasley dissapointed me. One catch by Dez, one by Ogletree. Doug Free look like last year. Arkins look like Costa being push back, reaching and holding players. Bernardea, look to have heavy feet struggling with line stunts, and the same with Leary. We got game film, but we have more questions than answer when it concern the Ol.
I like the efforts of the defense especially in the secound half Bass has a nice Motor on him doesnt give up, Hamilton living up to his type. I like the fact the boys are lining up in 4 man fronts, this please me very much. I have been following Albright play a solid game . I hop he makes the team. Lionel Smith had some nice tackles especially off of the bubble screen. We need a new Punter, back up to Jones. We may need two.
Holmes the only WR who showed up, ran awful pattern but still leading wr with 40 yards om 3 catches. Hanna did good on a couple of catches, so did Chapas. I think we will have real battle for spots in the LB department. McSurdy look slow. Atkins had a nice pass rush also. A little dissapointed with Crawford and Cole Beasley, didnt show up in the stat reports. I was not happy with William play CB, was trailing on most plays.

We look closer to the Rams than we do the leader of this division. We have a long way to go in the preseason . We have 3 more games in 16 days. We need new player to evaluate. I would start cutting now.
