Is Jerry Jones "Writing Checks" That The Team Can't Cash?

It’s training camp time and this week has been a media filled week with injuries, people leaving, team updates but the most media worthy stories have been all about what Jerry Jones has said.  Now we all know Jerry Jones is the owner we love to hate.   He won’t be denied his enthusiasm, as he owns the team.  But it’s only training camp!  So the question remains, is Jerry Jones “writing checks” so to speak that the team will be unable to cash by doing instead of saying.

After last weeks blog, my sentiments on still being a little bit above average team hasn’t changed, but hearing the news out of training camp with players losing heart and not wanting to continue on in the journey to become a Dallas Cowboy, the injuries to Jason Hatcher and Morris Claiborne, Jerry Jones guaranteeing a win on September 5th, and most especially with the “Glory Hole” days;  once again Dallas has become a spectacles to the media.  It’s only the first full week of training camp and the news is both good and bad coming out of camp but that has been with any team.  Dallas still isn’t stacked depth wise enough for comfort for a huge run this season in a long if any playoff run.  Even Jason Garrett has come out this week and said Dallas needs help at center and wide receiver to pin point specifics.

The Cowboys are a better team going into this season and even though people have said over and over again Dallas looks good on paper, it’s still not comforting to hear the talk coming out of Dallas from Mr. Jones stating that we will be the best team in the NFC East.   It just seems like every time a coach, owner or player starts talking about how good this team will be, the “checks” always seem to bounce and eventually come back to bite Dallas in the bottom.

I learn many year s ago to tune out what JJ has says. For me JJ is nothing but hot air and propoganda, I havent bought his BS in a while. I am not here as JJ fan but a fan of the boys a team who landry made into one othe the shinning stars of the NFL.
The media and JJ in the conversation is seldom a good thing. You know when JJ has something to say it probably not a good thing, I believe Owner should not be heard or seen in the NFL JJ best year as GM, you hardly heard or seen him, that the ways things should be. I wish things went back to the way it use to be, when JJ did less thinking and he trusted in other to run the ship for him.
Jj has pretty much grounded this ship and has us closer to rock bottem that the front of the pack.
JJ last year went young on the OL and undechieve, this year he went big and it looking bad again. I think JJ should stand back and let somone with more football guide this team. A 1 game above 500 in 15 years is like having a boat with no power or sence of direction. They are pretty much dead in the water and are being sunk by poor draft, FA signing, player development and not getting the right player to move this vessle forward. When call to lead, JJ has failed to direct this team to any long term plan. JJ need a map to success, and need to stay the course. Like I just mention young a couple of year ago on the OL , to big on the OL this year. I just hope next year he has a plan to go with a Good OL instead.
JJ has failed with so many contact of lately, A Scandrick contract that paid a back up 4 times over what his starter got, A extention for Spears and then he play his worst football, A Free exention and he become this team worst OL, last year. A extention for Ratliff and he just doesnt fit the system anymore, A Bernardeu contract and he come as damage good. A Hanna contract and he cant block or even become a good candidate as third string TE. A Miles extention a couple of years ago, and he can no longer stay healthy or achieve number to his contract years. These ars some of the reason the boys are a average team in the last 15 years

JJ is crazy. He needs to put a sock in it. Let a football person be the GM. He should just sit back and watch.
