With the summer rapidly passing us by that means that the 2012 season is getting close. Every year the Dallas Cowboys are in contention for the playoffs it seems, and fans have been left with heartbreak every year since the 1995 season. The only bright side to the last 16 seasons is that we are able to get hope back every year after a few but long months. The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most talented teams for the better part of this last decade. Why have they not had the success we have all hope for?  It can’t be blamed on coaching or talent but maybe it comes down to confidence. But can the Dallas Cowboys come in to the 2012 season with the confidence it takes to be the team that we all know that they are capable of?

The Dallas Cowboys Have missed the playoffs the last 2 seasons and have lost season openers both years. The team is fortunate to open the season against the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. This game will be the biggest test of the season for Big D’. It is very possible that this could be the make or break game for the cowboys season. Since the NFL has started to let the defending champs open the season they have never lost. This game will be almost as big as the Super Bowl itself for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys would want nothing more than to get revenge after last years games against the New York Giants. After surrendering a 12 point lead and also get beat in the season finally the Cowboys have got to have a nasty taste still in the mouth against the rivals in New York. If the Dallas Cowboys can win this game on September 5th, I think it would almost be a guaranteed playoff birth. The confidence of the team would be up and would almost feel indestructible. That is what this team needs if they plan to win a Super Bowl. The team is fortunate for this situation for redemption and need to take advantage. May the best blue win.
