Who Deserves to be The Cowboys #3?

The Dallas Cowboys went from losing Laurent Robinson as their number 3 wide receiver to gaining an interesting pre-season to find the new number 3 receiver.  Drafting Danny Coale and with having Raymond Radway coming back and of course Kevin Ogletree it will be interesting to see who will earn the spot.

Let’s take a deeper look into the third wide receiver spot and who will best fit that position to take the pressure off Miles Austin and Dez Bryant.

Kevin Ogletree has never really had to work hard to maintain the third receiver slot he was handed last year due to Radway’s injury in the Miami Dolphins pre-season game.  He has shown glimpses of a third wide receiver but in game situations he has never really had the chemistry with Tony Romo.

Raymond Radway, in my opinion, would have made that third receiver spot last year if he had no suffered that broken leg in the last seconds of the last pre-season game.  He showed in pre-season last year he wasn’t afraid to put his body out there for the catch.  It will be very exciting to have him back and competing in pre-season this year.

Dwayne Harris is another person I would throw in there for the third receiver, although he again has shown signs of being capable to step up and play that third spot.  He did a fairly good job forDallason special teams last year; however, I just don’t foresee him being the number 3.

Finally, Danny Coale is a draft pick and has been compared to a Wes Welker type receiver.  He has quick speed and a good route runner.

The best fit for the Cowboys at the number 3 wide receiver is going to be a toss up between Coale and Radway, if he can come back from his injury and be like he was in the 2011 pre-season and which one has the best chemistry with Tony Romo.
