Fletcher Cox – DL, Mississippi State
My Analysis: The Chiefs have had defensive woes for quite some time. Last year they drafted Justin Houston to fill a much needed OLB position. The front 3 needs some depth and cox has all the right tools to be a solid DE in a 3-4 scheme.
12. Seattle Seahawks
Michael Floyd – WR, Notre Dame
My Analysis: The Seahawks have struggled on offense and another weapon at WR seems like a logical choice.
13. Arizona Cardinals
Jonathan Martin – OT, Stanford
My Analysis: Some are projecting the Cardinals to draft Decastro here, which is a distinct possibility. Either way they have had their share of OL woes and need to address it.
14. Dallas Cowboys
David DeCastro – OG, Stanford
My Analysis: In spite of the FA signings of Bernadeu and Livings, the Cowboys still need a long term solution next to Tyron Smith. If DeCastro is here I find it impossible to pass him up. If in fact he isn’t here I suggest a trade down for the best available defensive player.
15. Philadelphia Eagles
Luke Kuechly – LB, Boston College
My Analysis: The Eagles have struggled at the LB position recently. They signed 1 in FA, but if Kuechly is here he would more than likely be the best available player.
16. New York Jets
Mark Barron – SS, Alabama
My Analysis: The Jets have struggled for depth at the S position. Especially with injury issues.
17. Cincinnati Bengals (from Oakland)

Dre Kirkpatrick – CB, Alabama
My Analysis: The Bengals secondary has a lot to be desired so this makes sense. Another option here would be another WR to compliment A.J Green, but I really don’t see them taking a 1st round WR 2 years in a row.
18. San Diego Chargers
Courtney Upshaw – DE, Alabama
My Analysis: The SD Chargers have had a top offense pretty much every year. Many thought Norv Turner was on the hot seat, but they fired the defensive coordinator. I look for the Chargers to address the DL.
19. Chicago Bears
Whitney Mercilus – DE, Illinois
My Analysis: The Bears have always been a defensive minded team. With age creeping up on their top players I look for them to bring in a young pass rusher.
20. Tennessee Titans
Dont’a Hightower – LB, Alabama
My Analysis: The Titans front 7 have had their struggles and one of the key upgrades would be a solid LB.
