Simus1974, Video Contributor: Bottom line…..see yall next year! I been down this road way too many times!! Cowboys 10 – Giants 35
Tonni Shook, Staff Writer: I will be straight up honest here. I do not think the Dallas Cowboys will win versus the New York Giants. Call me a pessimist, but I think they gave up, as a team, several weeks ago. The offense had life with DeMarco Murray and seemed to put together wins despite the defense. Since he went down, they lost heart. As for the defense, not sure words can do justice to their performance lately. I’m not confident they will overcome injuries and a lack of heart. Giants are showing more of a will to win, in my lowly opinion. Please prove me wrong Cowboys.
Artie Cappello, Staff Writer: In 2007, the NY Giants knocked us out of the playoffs. Now they get a chance to knock us out again. Tony Romo didn’t spend this week on vacation in Mexico (the reason everyone gave for us losing that playoff game), so hopefully we can get some revenge. Rob Ryan has dumbed down the defense, which worked to some extent vs Philly, and our offense has had no issues scoring against this pourous Giants D. I think I’m more concerned about Romo’s hand than every else seems to be, but I haven’t picked the Cowboys to lose yet, so I’m not gonna start now: Dallas – 24, New York – 21
Joe D. Ramirez, Senior Writer: As much as I love the Cowboys, I do not like this Cowboys team. They are poorly coached, the defense is questionable towards the end of a game, their GM should have been fired years ago, and with all the games they have let slip through their hands, this is not a team that is deserved of getting to the playoffs. But I hate the Giants, and I want the Cowboys to win. I don’t think that will happen. I think Doug Free has regressed as a player. I think the left guard situation is tenuous at best and Romo has had one of his best seasons and has been the catalyst that makes this offense explosive. I doubt the injury sustained to his hand will affect his play, but the more he passes, the more susceptible the offense is to negative plays.
I want the Cowboys to win… but I would be shocked if they do. I foresee the Giants having a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter with the Cowboys cutting the lead to 3 with limited time left in the game. Final score: Giants 31, Cowboys 28. The silver lining is the Cowboys are still alive in week 17, and many wouldn’t have given them that much hope at certain portions of the season.
