Every week we ask all of The Landry Hat writers and contributors to submit their picks and predictions for the upcoming game. This week, we asked our experts for their thoughts and predictions for the Dallas Cowboys vs. the New York Giants NFC East Title game this Sunday night. And here they are: Steven Mullenax, Editor & Head Writer: After 16 weeks of watching and critiquing Dallas Cowboys’ Football, I can honestly say that I have see almost nothing from this year’s team that makes be believe they can win in New York on Sunday night. The team has the [...]
Offense Tony Romo: Can Romo overcome and play through another injury to lead the Boys to the playoffs? Yes, and he will. I have all the faith in the world in Romo and believe that he will led the Boys past the Giants and into the playoffs. Romo has played through a rib injury this season and didn’t seem effected by it. I see him playing the exact same way with this injury. Romo played really well against the Giants just 2 weeks ago; I think he will play even better Sunday. I see Romo having 3 touchdown passes and [...]

Tony Romo’s Pro-Bowl Snub, A Tale Of Two Cities
Those two cities are: New York (Jets) and Detroit (Lions). Take those two games out of the equation and Romo would have only 5 interceptions this year. Yeah, I know, you can’t take those two games out. The travesty is that ESPN, Sports Illustrated and many other sports media outlets really only consider those two games when evaluating Tony. The two games, they figure, Romo mostly lost by himself (regardless of the fact that, the INT in that Jets game, Dez Bryant ran a poor route and QB’s have to throw to a spot – not a receiver – because [...]
What Has Happened to the Dallas Cowboys’ Defense?
Once again it is time to answer questions from our readers. One of the most interesting things about going through all the emails from our readers and trying to choose the best questions is realizing that the Dallas Cowboys have fans not just all over the country, but all over the world. We can now add a country from the Southern Hemisphere to Cowboy Country. Our question this week comes from Raymond in New Zeland. We have also had questions from Mexico and Canada in the past. It is nice to see that the Cowboys’ star, and The Landry Hat, [...]
QUICK OUT: Deja Vu All Over Again
Here we go again. A scant 3 weeks ago we were talking about a must-win, Sunday night game against the Giants, and a chance to win the division and essentially lock up a playoff spot. Nothing much has changed at this point except that this time the game will be in New York (New Jersey actually) and it absolutely means win or go home. The winner will finish the regular season at 9-7, wins the NFC East, and the #4 seed in the playoffs including a home playoff game the following week. The loser will finish 8-8, watch the playoffs from their [...]

As the Dallas Cowboys prepare to play the New York Giants on New Year’s Day, many fans are no doubt thinking that this is the most important game they have played since that forgettable loss to Minnesota in the 2009 playoffs. As Mark pointed out earlier this week, it would be foolish to try to put too much stock into last week’s game against the Eagles. Mark was the first (to my knowledge) to point out that the Philly game seemed more like a pre-season game than a real game (take that ESPN and NFL.com!). Every reviewer since then has [...]
Wednesday’s Words for Success – The Whole Enchilada
Our 1st Cowboys Football action to start off 2012 (the last year we will have football if you believe the Mayans) will be for all the cool marbles that signify the winner of the NFC East. So many questions will either be created, answered, or dismissed based on this one game. Much can be said about this season, but your Cowboys have fought the good fight. They didn’t always win, and there were different culprits in every game as to why, but now is not the time for pointing fingers. Your Cowboys are 1 win-or-go-home game away from ascending to [...]
