A Preview of the Dallas Cowboys-Miami Dolphins Game
Dallas Cowboys-related Tweet of the Week: @BloggingtheBoys: “#Cowboys now in first place, we can all resume our regularly scheduled loathing of the Eagles. G’nite folks!” As evidenced by the title of this article, due to the Cowboys’ early game this week, I will be writing a preview of the upcoming Dolphins game, as opposed to my usual ‘Final Word’ feature. There will probably be plenty of previews of this game (especially today), so I’ll just give you readers a few quick bullet points for our annual Thanksgiving game.
Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Redskins Review: Offense
The Cowboys did not have a great day offensively against the Redskins, but they still managed 27 points against a decent defense. More importantly, I think we witnessed something from Jason Garrett as a Head Coach that marks a pivotal change in his play calling (click here to jump to that). Passing – Romo certainly has his ‘escapability’ back, for I heard several onlookers comment, “That boy has ninja skills.” The best part is, Romo isn’t turning the ball over. As Tony Romo goes, so go the Dallas Cowboys. Truer words were never spoken. Against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, the Cowboys struggled with execution on both sides of the ball. It was a far cry from the dominant performance against the Buffalo Bills a week ago. If not for Tony Romo, this team would be 5-5 today instead of 6-4, sitting atop the NFC East thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles doing the Boys a favor and beating the New York Giants Sunday night. Consistency is a problem for this team, as we’ve clearly seen this season. It’s also a [...]
The Cowboys were lucky to get a win against the rival Washington Redskins. If you haven’t done so yet, please buy your Dan Bailey jersey as soon as possible. Having a reliable kicker is something this team hasn’t had in years. It seems like ever since Mike Vanderjagt went from being the ‘NFL’s all-time most accurate FG kicker’ to unemployed in less than a season, Dallas has put a curse on all place-kickers who dared to wear the star. Having a kicker like Bailey makes me giddy-like-a-schoolgirl! As you should know by now, I write these observations after watching the [...]
IPCQ: Week 11, Dallas Cowboys VS Washington Redskins. Romo swerves, and we avoid some Rex.
IPCQ: Week 11,Dallas Cowboys VS Washington Redskins. Romo swerves, and we avoid some Rex. By Seth Jones. I ntroduction: It took me 17 hours to come up with the title of this article. But it didn’t take the Cowboys long to put the Redskins in their place. Let’s face it, this is no ordinary game. I believe that the Cowboys-Redskins rivalry is easily a top 3 rivalry throughout the history of the NFL. I do NOT think that the players play harder for this game than they do for the Eagles, or the Giants. I do not think that the [...]

Who knew a third year cast away from the Carolina Panthers could make such an important impact to the Dallas Cowboys’ running game this year? But making an impact is the basic job description for a fullback. And the Cowboys’ surely struggled without their fullback, Tony Fiammetta, on Sunday. Fiammetta, who was dealing with an illness last week, was ruled out for Sunday’s narrow overtime victory against the Washington Redskins. Dallas tried to fill his position with TE John Phillips, but clearly that didn’t work well. DeMarco Murray ran for just 73 yards on 25 carries. That’s an average of [...]
