Dallas Cowboys vs Buffalo Bills Review: Quick Reactions Defense

He makes plays, and he rarely gets noticed for making a mistake.

General observations continued:

- The entire defense seems eager to make tackles. I see very few missed tackles; Rob Ryan’s emphasis on fundamentals appears to be paying dividends.

- They did an excellent job of stopping Chan Gailey’s favorite play this year: the screen. The list of players who made important tackles on screens is long. DeMarcus Ware, Terence Newman, Danny McCray, and Gerald Sensabaugh all made tackles for a loss or minimal gain on a screen play.

- Rob Ryan continues to put together excellent game plans every week. Other than the poor showing against the Eagles, the defense has kept them in every game so far this season.

- The formations and packages used by Ryan haven’t looked as complex (strange, unusual) in the last couple weeks as they did previously. It also looks to me like they are using far less pre-snap motion.
