LH: Looking forward to this week, will the new Rams addition of Brandon Lloyd and the injury to Sam Bradford change the gameplan?
GS: You know, it doesn’t change at all. I’m sure Rob is going to have his way of doing things. He’ll obviously have a great gameplan, like he does every week. We gotta go out there and compete and get a win. They still have a good team. They have a lot of weapons. I know there 0-5 right now, but they have a lot of players out there who can play. We just have to do a good job of staying disciplined and making sure we make plays, capitalize on mistakes, and do a good job of closing out games.
LH: The defense seems to be much improved from last year. What, specifically, in the secondary did Rob Ryan change that has the group playing at a higher level?
GS: We have a lot of good players back there. But this year we’ve just done a lot of disguising. Not letting people know what we’re in. Once again, guys are doing a good job of making plays. We have a lot of young guys stepping up. One cool thing about Rob’s defense is he tries to get everybody in the gameplan to where everybody knows defensive plays. As long as he sees everyone making plays, he tries to get everybody in the game. You know guys are doing good. When they’re getting opportunities and chances, they’re going out there and making plays. We’re just holding the offense to as minimum as we can.
