One Loss Will Equal Two Wins
Without question the Dallas Cowboys were embarrassed last night on Sunday Night Football. The Philadelphia Eagles handled the Cowboys in every respect, save for maybe special teams where it was a push. The offense appeared to be off; the defense appeared to be slow and incapable of wrapping up a tackle; Tony Romo was off target on some of his throws; the Eagles wide receivers and running backs were running through huge holes in the zone defense packages. There was a substantial amount of “bad” in that game. But if we look forward, this game will help to inspire the [...]
Don’t Worry Dallas Cowboys Fans
I had a good time watching the game last night. It’s been a long time since I was able to watch my Dallas Cowboys play and not be on edge, rocking back and forth pulling my hair. Instead, as the game went on, a very calm feeling over came me, a knowing…refreshing really. When you can watch your team play without any connection to the outcome, everything slows down and becomes very clear. With that clarity comes peace, not bliss, but peace. It was amazing to be able to analyze the players performances while in this state. The Cowboys defense [...]

The Philadelphia Eagles embarrassed the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night in a 34-7 blowout win. Eagles’ running back LeSean McCoy ran over the Cowboys like DeMarco Murray did against the Rams last week. McCoy finished with 185 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the best run defense in the league. QB Michael Vick also did his best Peyton Manning impression with pin-point accurate passes all night. Vick went 21 of 28 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns. He also tossed in 50 rushing yards. To give you an idea of how good the Eagles were tonight on offense, they did [...]
Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Halftime Report
It’s not looking good Cowboy fans as Dallas is being crushed by Philadelphia, 24-0 at halftime. Here are the highlights/lowlights, so far: On the Eagles opening drive, their offense used four pass plays and four rushing plays to drive down the field fairly easily on the Dallas defense. Jeremy Maclin capped the long drive with a nice wideout screen play for a 12 yard touchdown. The Eagles took the early lead, 7-0.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Inactives list
Prior to each game, a list of inactive players is released for each team. There are several reasons for a player to be placed on the list. These reasons included injuries, lack of roster space, and coaching decisions. Here’s the list of Cowboy players “inactive” for tonight’s game: Stephen McGee, Felix Jones, Daniel Loper, Clifton Geathers, David Arkin, Josh Brent, and Kevin Kowalski. Here’s the list of Eagles players “inactive” for tonight’s game: Dion Lewis, Curtis Marsh, Jarrad Page, Keenan Clayton, Julian Vandervelde, Winston Justice, and Phillip Hunt. Like what you see? The Cowboys will face the Eagles tonight on Sunday Night Football (NBC) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Boys’ better bring their turtlenecks and overcoats because their playing at Lincoln Financial Field, which is an open-air stadium. This mean weather plays a big factor in all their home games. And it is going to be a cold one in old Philly tonight!
Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles Preview: Defense
If the Dallas Cowboys are going to beat the Philadelphia Eagles this week, they will need another strong showing from the defense. Rob Ryan’s defense can change significantly from week to week. It seems that there is much more pre-snap movement and exotic packages against the better offenses (Patriots) than against teams like the Rams. The reason may be that it is possible to neutralize some offenses (Rams) by simply playing good sound defense, while other offenses (Patriots) can only be slowed down through deception and confusion. My hunch is that this week we will see more of the latter [...]
There are polls every week in Cowboys Nation. In Fan blog sites like The Landry Hat and others, the questions are asked: ‘Which team is the Dallas Cowboys biggest rival‘ or ‘What team is the most hated by Dallas Cowboys fans’. The reason we’re asked all the time to choose a top rival is because the Dallas Cowboys are America’s Team and we have a lot of them. Here are a few: The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys established themselves as rivals by continually meeting in some of the biggest games. Remember the Ice Bowl? Dallas lost to Green [...]
