What I Am Looking For in Cowboys vs. Redskins Game!

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: Comments Off

Offense Tony Romo: How will he play with those hurt ribs? Last weeks performance was gusty to say the least and Romo proved he can get the job done in the 4th quarter delivering a big win for the Cowboys. This week he has had a week to rest but also he won’t be playing on that pure adrenaline like last game. I am looking for a 250/ 2 touchdown performance; I don’t see his yards being as high because of the injury. Felix Jones: Can he play hurt and finally get a 10 yard gain on a run? I [...]

Dallas Cowboys Injury Report keeps growing; Romo’s status still unknown

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys, Depth Chart, Injuries, News, NFL, Popular, Preview, Roster, The Landry Hat | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The new injury report for the Dallas Cowboys now includes kicker David Buehler.  Mainly used for his kick-off proficiency, last year’s starting kicker has an apparent right groin injury that limited him in practice on Friday. Rookie Dan Bailey would handle the kick offs if Buehler is unable to go Monday night against the Washington Redskins. As expected, Quarterback Tony Romo did not participate in Friday’s practice. Still recovering from a fractured rib and punctured lung he received in last week’s overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers, Romo has only done some very light throwing so far this week. [...]

Cowboys vs. Redskins Preview: 5 Things to Watch For on Defense

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys, Game Review, News, NFL, Roster, The Landry Hat, What If | COMMENTS: Comments Off

1. Will Jason Hatcher put an exclamation point after the question, “Stephen who?” Everyone heard the rumors that the Cowboys wanted to re-sign Bowen, but lost a bidding war to Washington, and subsequently got ‘stuck’ with Spears and Hatcher. According to Ellis at the mothership, Bowen got $27.5 million for 5 years; the Cowboys resigned Marcus Spears (5 years for 19.2) and Jason Hatcher (3 years for 6.0).Without analyzing the intricacies of each contract, it appears that the Cowboys got both Spears and Hatcher for the price Snyder paid for Bowen. Who do you think made the smarter move there? [...]

5 Things to Watch For vs. the Redskins (Offense)

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys, Depth Chart, Game Review, NFL, Preview, Roster, The Landry Hat, What If | COMMENTS: Comments Off

1.  Will Doug Free ever look like a premiere left tackle? According to the wizards at Pro Football Focus, Free got “abused all day long” last week.  He allowed 6 pressures, 2 Romo knock downs, and he got charged with a penalty.  He also graded out poorly in run blocking.  When the season started, Free was expected to be the anchor of this line.  It is safe to say that he hasn’t lived up to expectations thus far.  Remember: it was not Mario Williams or Jarod Allen who ‘terrorized’ Free last week, it was Justin Smith; he is not exactly [...]

The Dallas Cowboys lose another key player to injury

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cowboys, Depth Chart, Injuries, News, NFL, Preview, Roster, The Landry Hat | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Offensive guard Derrick Dockery started his first game for the Dallas Cowboys last week. Now it seems that game could have been his last…at least for a while. Dockery suffered a sprained MCL and a broken tibia in Sunday’s overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers. There has been no time table set for his return, but he’ll probably be out for multiple weeks. Dockery was signed earlier this year to add depth and veteran leadership to the young offensive line after guard Montrae Holland was released. This injury comes at a particularly bad time since Dockery will now miss [...]

Cowboys vs.Redskins; Your Fantasy Forecast Week Three

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys, Fantasy Football, Gameday, News, NFL, Popular, Preview, The Landry Hat | COMMENTS: Comments Off

By Greg Bailey The GREATEST rivalry in Professional Sports, SKINS vs COWBOYS! This isn’t a relationship like Tanto and the Lone Ranger. This is war. The question is, will we be scalped or will we drop the competition with an array of gun fire. As many of you, including myself, were calling for Coach Shanahan several years ago to come and run the Cowboys, what now? He has made changes to their organization that puzzle even small children…. Haynesworth, McNabb, Portis….well that was expected. You may find yourself puzzled. Who cares. From my perspective, let him dismantle their team. What [...]

Rumor Mill: Is Dez Bryant Missing Meetings and Injury Treatments?

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cowboys, Popular, Rumors, The Landry Hat, Video | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

According to a story by Marc Sessler at NFL.com (which you can read here), there are rumors that Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Dez Bryant has been missing treatments and skipping out on team meetings. In the article, NFL Analyst Warren Sapp thinks it time for someone on the team to reel Bryant in. “He thinks it’s OK,” Sapp said. “Whatever the head of the unit is, whether it’s Miles Austin, (Jason) Witten, (Tony) Romo. Somebody’s got to pull it. Somebody’s got to pull the yoke in his mouth and say, ‘Hey son, this isn’t how we do it.’” These rumors come on [...]
