Every week we ask all of The Landry Hat writers to submit their predictions for the upcoming game and their reasons why. This week, we asked our experts for their opinion on the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins Monday night game. Steven Mullenax, Editor & Head Writer: The Redskins are hot right now. But I see the Cowboys defense cooling them off this week. If Romo and the receiving corps can put up a decent game, then we put them away at home. And somebody call Felix Jones and ask him for our running game back. Cowboys over the Redskins, [...]

How to Fix the Dallas Cowboys
C. J. Wright’s Weekly Poll I came up with this week’s poll question while perusing the comments on the official Cowboys site. Before I started writing for The Landry Hat, I spent at least every lunch hour searching the web for Cowboys stuff (even during the off-season), but I stopped reading the comments left by readers long ago. If I try to explain why I refused to read the comments left by readers, you would probably stop reading sometime before my rant turned into an all-out diatribe. Anyway, now that I write at TLH, I have started reading the comments. [...]
Dallas Cowboys’ Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan may have some extra motivation to beat the Washington Redskins on Monday night. Apparently, he has a bone to pick with Washington’s Head Coach Mike Shanahan. In an interview this weekend, Coach Ryan mention the fact that he believed Coach Shanahan purposely ran the score up on him when he first came into the league: ”Obviously, it’s well documented how great of a coach (Shanahan) is, and his son there. But you know, I mean shoot, we’re ready to go. We’ve faced him a lot. I think he used to run the score up [...]
One of the great things about working at The Landry Hat, and the Fansided Sports Network, is our access to different experts. Since our network has a site for every NFL team, I’d thought I’d get an insider’s take on the upcoming Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins Monday night match-up from behind enemy lines. Therefore, I present six questions with the Lead Writer of Riggo’s Rag Blog, Ryan Estorninos: 1.Your thoughts on Rex Grossman as Washington’s starting quarterback? RE – I don’t expect him to be a great quarterback, but I expect him to be an “OK” quarterback. Everyone in [...]
By Nathan Maxfield For 51 years the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins have met in the NFL regular season. Between the two teams 27 combined division titles and eight Super Bowls have been won. Many people refer to it as one of the top rivalries of all time. With the history and the combined success of both franchises that statement would be hard to argue with. It has been a bit of a one-sided rivalry however as the Cowboys have been fairly dominant in the meetings between to two teams – the all-time record is 60-38-2. Last season the two [...]

The Dallas Cowboys released their final injury report today for their upcoming Monday night match-up against the Washington Redskins. And a surprising number of Cowboy starters have made the notorious list. Definitely out for Monday’s game are WR Miles Austin (hamstring), G Derrick Dockery (knee) and CB Orlando Scandrick (ankle). None of these players practiced at all this week. Listed as questionable for the game is QB Tony Romo (ribs), RB Felix Jones (shoulder), WR Dez Bryant (thigh), K David Buehler (groin). Romo and Bryant practiced for the first time today, although it was limited. Jones and Buehler both practiced [...]
Dallas Cowboys’ Head Coach Jason Garrett sent a clear message to his team during Saturday’s press conference: Injuries are part of the game, and you have to play through them. Apparently, Tony Romo and Dez Bryant got the message as they both participated in this morning’s practice session. Here’s how Coach Garrett stressed the importance of having key players on his team who play through injuries: “You want mentally tough guys. You want physically tough guys. It’s a very physical, violent game. And guys have to understand their not always going to be 100% at their best physically. Their going [...]
