Drew Pearson will be enshrined on the Ring of Honor

The Cowboys’ Ring of Honor carries more weight with me than the Hall of Fame.  It just does.  When Michael Irvin was on the verge of induction, we didn’t have to hear all the ridiculous character attacks that we did when he was being considered for the Hall of Fame.  When it comes to election into the Ring, we don’t have to concern ourselves with the bias of the national media.  Guys like Cliff Harris and Lee Roy Jordan have been repeatedly snubbed by the HOF, but we can take comfort in the fact that they’ve been given their rightfully places in the ROH.

Certainly, the Ring of Honor is not without its snubs — Charlie Waters comes to mind — but the beauty of the Ring is that if the fan base makes a big enough stink, we can have some influence on the result.  This season, it appears that one snub will finally get his due — Drew Pearson.   It’s about time, Jerry.

Without a doubt, Pearson was the most deserving candidate. This was long overdue.  But, we always knew that Drew’s election would eventually happen. Jerry is well aware of what the number 88 means to the Cowboys.  My question: who is next?
