DeMarcus Ware Believes He Should Be Ranked Number One
While the NFL Network is slowly releasing it’s Top 100 Players of 2011 list, the reaction is coming in rapidly. One player who did not agree with the rankings is Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware. Ware came in on the player voted list at number twelve, but he believes he should be a lot higher on the list. “You know, I think I should be the number one guy on the list. But at the end of the day, people are going to vote you where they think you should be,” Ware said. Ware is without a doubt one of the [...]
When a new CBA is reached, all unsigned players with four years or more of NFL experience will become unrestricted free agents. What that means is the talent pools at certain positions will get deeper and one position that benefits is safety. It’s no secret that the Cowboys need a veteran safety, so it should come as no surprise that the Cowboys will be ecstatic to have more free agents to talk to. Melvin Bullitt of the Colts, San Diego’s Eric Weddle and Chicago’s Danieal Manning will all be free to sign wherever they please. Whoever the Cowboys end up [...]
Like we didn’t already want the NFL lockout to end soon enough, the Manning brothers have made the case for a swift resolution even more necessary. Peyton & Eli are starring in a police drama on Direct TV that just looks awful and embarrassing. The brothers are very good football players, but they have shown no shame before with their endorsements and terrible commercials. Their new show, “Football Cops,” seems just as awful. Check out more information on this atrocity over at our sister site NFLSpinZone.com. Clipped from: nflspinzone.com (share this clip)
The latest ESPN power rankings focused on up-and-coming assistant coaches in the NFL. Every year a handful of assistant coaches are interviewed for head coaching vacancies so the ESPN writers came up with a list of assistants that could soon be on their way to receiving a head coaching gig. Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan came in second place on the list. Ryan was the recipient of two first place votes. Only New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell received more first place votes. Here is the complete top ten list: 1. Perry Fewell, Giants 2. Rob Ryan, Cowboys [...]

Dallas Cowboys Can Find A Way To Land Nnamdi Asomugha
Free agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha is creating some serious waves. Everyone wants to speculate where the top corner will go and free agency has yet to start. Imagine the madness when Asomugha officially hits the market. SI.com’s Peter King calls Asomugha’s free agency a race for “the best defensive free agent since Deion Sanders.” It is possible that Asomugha returns to Oakland, however, other teams have been gaining steam as potential suitors for his services. The Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are the most likely destinations. The New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks are also possible. Wait a second, [...]
NFL Lockout Has It’s Advantages and Disadvantages
The lockout has not been a bad thing for all players in the NFL, according to Roy Williams the lockout this summer has given his body time to recover and rest. Williams who is an 8 year NFL veteran said the NFL lockout has a sliver lining. ” I talked to a player who was contemplating retirement, but this lockout has gotten his body back to where it needs to be,” Williams told the Odessa American over the weekend. “For us older players, it’s good.” However Williams also knows that the lockout is not good for the Chemistry and development of the [...]

Dallas Cowboys One-Liners: Shake Up At Tight End?
Jean-Jacques Taylor of the Dallas Morning News believes that TE John Phillips will be a threat to Martellus Bennet’s playing time. Taylor also says Jason Garrett has an advantage over previous Cowboys coaches because of his history with owner Jerry Jones. FOX Sports’ Adam Schein ranks the Cowboys as a middle of the road team and says Jerry Jones as a general manager is a “borderline failure.” Will tight end Jason Witten go down as the greatest Cowboys pass catcher in franchise history? The Dallas Mavericks will try to avoid a disaster similar to the 1993 Cowboys Super Bowl parade, [...]
