Tony Romo’s US Open Dreams Come To A Screeching Halt

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: Comments Off

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been dabbling in the golf game again this offseason and attempted to qualify for the US Open. Again, Romo’s efforts have fallen short and he will have to wait another year — or hopefully ’til he’s done playing football — to try again. Why did Romo fail on his bid for the latest US Open? He shot 9 over at a local qualifying event at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney, Texas. Romo had only one birdie to go with five bogies, a double bogie and the dreaded triple-bogey. Now that his qualifying bid is [...]

Is Tony Romo’s Golf Game A Distraction?

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is no stranger to scrutiny, when it comes to his focus and priorities. Whether it be his off-the-field romances or his trips to Cabo, the gunslinger has had his fair share of critics. Is Tony Romo 100% focused on being a top-level quarterback or is the former undrafted free-agent just happy to be on a NFL roster? All of these questions have been raised again this offseason with Romo attempting to qualify for the US Open. Fortunately, Romo’s golf game needs a little work and he did not advance, but that doesn’t take away from [...]

How Soon Can DeMarco Murray Become The Dallas Cowboys Starter?

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

It was a shock to many fans when the Dallas Cowboys used a third round pick on former Oklahoma Sooner running back DeMarco Murray in the 2011 NFL Draft. The Cowboys are already loaded at the position with Felix Jones, Marion Barber and Tashard Choice, however, Dallas saw something in Murray that made them decide to pull the trigger early. With the now crowded backfield, it is obvious that one of the four players will not be on the roster at the start of next season — whenever that may be. All signs point to the odd man out being [...]

According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Dez Bryant showed up today in order to practice with about 40 other Dallas Cowboys players at an undisclosed location. Many were even unsure if Bryant would of actually been cleared to practice, if practice had actually been held at Valley Ranch, due to the fractured right fibula that ended Bryant’s 2010 season. Bryant was nothing short of electrifying last year as a rookie but has since had a few minor off season issues that has [...]
