DeMarcus Ware Named NFC’s Best Defensive Player


As ESPN is starting to wrap up their power rankings, they focus on the top defensive players in the NFL. Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware came in at the second spot just behind Pittsburgh Steelers star safety Troy Polamalu. Ware received the most votes among NFC players.

Rounding out the top five were Darrelle Revis of the Jets, Patrick Willis of the 49ers and Packers Super Bowl champion linebacker Clay Matthews Jr. Here is a breakdown of the votes:

The Cowboys have had a strong presence in the ESPN power rankings at nearly every position. Ware being at the top of the defensive players list further proves that the Cowboys have the talent to compete at the highest level — they just need to fill a few holes on the roster.
