Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been dabbling in the golf game again this offseason and attempted to qualify for the US Open. Again, Romo’s efforts have fallen short and he will have to wait another year — or hopefully ’til he’s done playing football — to try again.

Why did Romo fail on his bid for the latest US Open? He shot 9 over at a local qualifying event at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney, Texas.

Romo had only one birdie to go with five bogies, a double bogie and the dreaded triple-bogey.

Now that his qualifying bid is over, we can get back to what is important — football. Here’s some sound advice for our quarterback: Keep your day job.
