For the second consecutive week, the Dallas Cowboys plan on conducting team workouts. Last week, Tony Romo told media that about 40 players came out to an undisclosed location and worked out together.
Romo is once again talking to media about workouts and this time he is saying he’s talked to a few of the Cowboys recent draft picks who are interested in working out with their new teammates. According to ESPN Dallas, DeMarco Murray, Dwayne Harris and Shaun Chapas are among the players who have expressed interest in the workouts.
The offseason workouts are a great sign for team unity and Romo’s ability to bring a large group of players together speaks volumes of the quarterbacks growing role as a leader.
“The reality is we’re learning a system. We’re running and we’re competing, but we don’t need that from outside influences right now. It just needs to be about us and improvement.” said Romo.
