According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Dez Bryant showed up today in order to practice with about 40 other Dallas Cowboys players at an undisclosed location. After yesterdays unexplained hiatus from a player only organized practice there was wide spread speculation concerning Bryant’s absence.
Many were even unsure if Bryant would of actually been cleared to practice, if practice had actually been held at Valley Ranch, due to the fractured right fibula that ended Bryant’s 2010 season. Bryant was nothing short of electrifying last year as a rookie but has since had a few minor off season issues that has brought his immaturity into question. The most recent being a missed meeting with team owner and general manager Jones Jones and then yesterdays no show.
Fans can once again breath a sigh of relief knowing that Bryant was once again not shucking his responsibilities to his teammates and fans. Both Jerry Jones and Tony Romo have stated publicly that they had been contacted by Bryant prior to both the reported missed meeting and missed practice.
“Tony Romo told Watkins that Bryant reached out to him prior to Tuesday to tell him he would miss the first day because of a family matter. Romo also said that Bryant “looked good. “
