The Dallas Cowboys got together on Tuesday for the first time to work out. About 40 players were in attendance at undisclosed location according to quarterback Tony Romo. “It went great,” Romo said. “We had great turnout. It was crisp. It was fast. You could feel the energy from the guys being back out there. Guys were committed. It was great to see.” Romo however would not name who was or wasn’t at the practice, however a Cowboys source told ESPN 103.3 Matt Mosley that wide receiver Dez Bryant was not there.
In other news from the work out Tony Romo said the collarbone felt great. “It was great.” Romo said. “I wish the season started right now.” Unfortunately for Romo the lock out is back on and we don’t know when the season will start but the fact that the collarbone is feeling great is a good sign for the QB and the Cowboys.
It is nice to see the players out working out even if they can’t have coaches there, shows the players dedication. I hope that the mini camps and training camps get started on time and this lock out ends quickly, but even if it doesn’t its nice to see the Cowboys will be ready when the season does start.
