AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: Comments Off

No matter how you choose to celebrate or not to celebrate the holiday, there is always room in your day for some Dallas Cowboys talk. So while you are laying around in your chocolate enduced coma, have a look at these Cowboys one-liners from around the web. Thursday’s draft is the first real test for the Jerry Jones-Jason Garrett era. Jean-Jacques Taylor of the Dallas Morning News believes the Cowboys top priority should be to replace Marc Colombo. However, the folks at My San Antonio point out that if Dallas selects a offensive lineman in the first round it would be [...]

Should The Cowboys Gamble On Another Troubled Corner?

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

We should all remember the Adam Jones experiment and how we watched the man known as “Pacman” self-destruct in front of our eyes. Pacman was a gamble that Jerry Jones took with very little risk, but a gamble that failed to pay off. With Jerry Jones’ willingness to do everything in his power to win, I couldn’t help but ask myself if the team should gamble on another troubled cornerback. It is being reported today by the St. Petersburg Times that Aqib Talib is “all but gone” from Tampa Bay and despite his past he would be a great addition to the Cowboys [...]

Tony Romo And Dez Bryant Begin Building Relationship

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: Comments Off

While the NFL players cannot meet with team officials during the lockout, they are still allowed to communicate with each other. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Dez Bryant are taking full advantage of the opportunity as they met with each other yesterday. Bryant stated on his Twitter account that he had a meal with Romo and center Andre Gurode. The news may not sound significant at first, but it’s great news for the troubled wideout. Bryant has been in the news for all of the wrong reasons likely and while it is not clear who reached out to who, the [...]

Weather a Non Factor in Cowboys 2011 Schedule

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: Comments Off

Native Texans will speak of the horrors of Texas summers.  Northerners visiting Texas during the summer have a sense of what Hell would be like.  Sweltering heat in September and extremity numbing cold in December can have an effect on a team’s regular season record.  For the Dallas Cowboys, a humid 105+ field temperature can be an advantage early in the season.  However, the Cowboys first regular season game will be in week 3 when they host the Washington Redskins.  While nothing is guaranteed, nearly 4 weeks from August should marginalize the unbearable heat.  That being said, the Cowboys management would [...]

Rex Ryan Honored To Face Brother Rob & Cowboys On 9/11

AUTHOR: | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: Comments Off

Jets head coach Rex Ryan will be going head to head with his brother Rob when the Cowboys and Jets face-off in New Jersey on September 11th. The game will take place on the ten-year anniversary of the tragic attacks on New York City and Washington, DC. For that reason, Rex has said he will tone down his trash talk leading up to the game. He has said he does not want to disrespect the day. “I feel honored that we’re going to be playing right there in our stadium,” Ryan told reporters Tuesday night via the Newark Star-Ledger. “It’s obviously [...]

If the NFL Lockout is lifted and both teams come to a deal before August, the entire NFL schedule will be unharmed — that includes preseason.
