NFL Draft 2011: Was DeMarco Murray The Right Pick For Dallas?

In the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray. There was a lot of confusion regarding the selection and it left fans scratching their heads.

The selection of Murray all but guarantees the expected departure of Marion Barber, but what does it mean for Jones and Choice? Jones should remain the starter and not see much of an impact in his role. The same cannot be said for Choice. Expect Murray’s ability to contribute on special teams to get him in the coach’s good graces and that will eventually lead to more playing time.

Murray is a dynamic player and could really open up the offense even more and improve special teams. Was he worthy of a third round pick? How did his selection leave you feeling?
