Cowboys Release Pre-Season Schedule

Today the Dallas Cowboys announced their Pre-Season schedule for the 2011 season. Although the start of the pre season is not guaranteed due to the current lockout. The Cowboys announced they are back to their normal 4 game pre-season schedule after playing 5 games last season. Though the dates haven’t been finalized the Cowboys will play Denver at home the weekend of Aug 12-14, San Diego at home the weekend of Aug. 19-21, then a road trip to Minnesota the weekend of Aug 26-28 and finally the finale in Miami.

The Cowboys posted a 3-2 record last season and have not had a losing pre-season record since the 2001 season when they were 2-3. However pre-season success doesn’t always tell you how a season will go, as the Cowboys had losing pre-season records during their 3 Super Bowl winning season in 1992,1993 and 1995.

The Cowboys have not however announced their training camp schedule due to the lockout and the uncertainty as to when the season will begin. The regular season schedule is usually announced sometime in April. We will keep our eyes opened for this announcement.
